How to Enable Google 2FA 

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your TrueTrade account.
Each time you log in, withdraw funds, or perform key actions, you’ll be asked for a 6-digit code from your Google Authenticator app.

⚠️ Note: You must first bind your email before linking Google Authenticator. Without a bound email, 2FA setup will not be available.

Step 1 — Go to Security Settings

• Log in to your TrueTrade account.
   
• Click your profile icon (top-right corner) → go to Account → Security.
   

• Find the button “Link Google” or “Google Authenticator”

  
  
   

Step 2 — Download Google Authenticator

• On your mobile device, open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Download the Google Authenticator app from the official sources below:

• Google Play (Android)
   
• App Store (iOS)
  
   

Step 3 — Start Linking Process

• Back on TrueTrade, tap “Link Google”
• A QR code and backup key will appear on the screen.
  
   

Step 4 — Scan the QR Code

• Open the Google Authenticator app → tap “+” → “Scan QR code” or “Enter Setup Key”
   

• Scan the QR code or manually paste the key displayed on your TrueTrade screen.

  
   

• A 6-digit verification code for “TheTrueTrade” will appear in your app.
   

💡 Tip: If you can’t scan, use the manual key shown under the QR code to add the account manually.

Step 5 — Verify & Confirm

• In the TrueTrade window, enter the 6-digit code shown in your Authenticator app.
   
• Tap “Confirm” to complete setup.

Save Your Backup Key

• Write down or securely store the backup key provided during setup.
   
• If you lose your phone or uninstall the app, this key is the only way to recover your 2FA access.

How to Disable Google 2FA

If you’ve already enabled Google Authenticator (2FA) and wish to disable it, follow these steps:

1. Go to your Account → Security tab.
    
2. You’ll see that Two-Factor Authentication is currently enabled.
    
3. Tap the “Disable” button next to it.
    
4. Open your Google Authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code shown for TrueTrade.
    

5. Tap Confirm, your 2FA will now be successfully disabled.

   
    

⚠️ Disabling 2FA reduces your account’s protection level. It’s recommended to re-enable it as soon as possible for maximum security.
